Shadow Work

There are parts of us that are obscured from sight, hidden away, and repressed – our shadow self, where repressed desires, emotions, memories, and parts of our personality we deny, reside in shadow - unseen and ignored. But as much as we have repressed these things as we consider them to be negative, they can be a source of strength, and reveal great qualities we hold that we have not yet discovered.

In any case, these parts of ourselves that we’ve hidden don’t simply disappear, they are there lurking in the shadows waiting to trigger us, to make us act emotionally, even irrationally, or to manifest themselves as anxiety.
