Nature in Witchcraft
Simple ways to incorporate nature into your craft and your daily practice.
Going into the woods or a park, or taking a trip to the beach, and connecting to the earth is grounding, healing, and it helps to blow away the cobwebs of our daily lives. 🕸️
Being outdoors and soaking up all the vibrational energies of nature is a great way to ground and centre, and can be the perfect, calming environment for meditating. ݁.𖠰 ݁↟
Aside from the sense of wellbeing and empowerment that can be achieved from physically being in nature, there are many ways to incorporate nature into your practice.
Press Flowers:
If you have a bunch of flowers but they’re significant to you, or you would like to save them to use in your craft, you can preserve them by pressing them. You can do this by using a purpose-made flower press, or by placing flowers between two sheets of blotting paper and placing them under something heavy such as a stack of books until they are dry.
Pressed flowers are ideal for when you want to document flowers in your grimoire and list their properties. And you can also use dried plants and flowers to dress candles, add to charm bags and spell jars, add to ritual baths, etc.˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀
Grow a Mini Garden:
Lots of people don’t have the space or time to keep up with a large garden (if you do, that’s great too!) so you can create a little herb garden on your windowsill or on a table, anywhere you have some free space. Keep some appropriate crystals by them to encourage growth! Such as moss agate, citrine, green aventurine, amethyst, etc. ⚘
Go Gathering:
When out in nature, you can see lots of items that can be used for spell work! And the best part? It costs absolutely nothing. Some things you can collect are Dandelions, Acorns, Pinecones, Tree Bark, Pine Needles, Rainwater etc. ↟𖠰˚☀︎ᨒ↟𖠰
Make Tea Blends:
You can make your own magickal tea blends! Examples of things you may use are Peppermint, Rose, Chamomile, Ginger, Lemon etc. You can read up on their properties and make the perfect blend to suit your needs! ☕︎ Here are three simple examples:
Soothing Witch’s Brew

To live this day confidently”

Herb Correspondence:
Learning the different magickal properties for herbs is something that will make your craft so much easier. You’ll gain a better understanding of which herbs are ideal for which spell/intention. Learning doesn’t have to be a chore, take some time for yourself with your favourite drink and soak up the information at a rate that’s good for you!
